By definition, a prenuptial Agreement is an agreement made before you legally marry you spouse. In Thailand, if you do not register a prenuptial agreement, then your marital property will be managed according to the Thai Civil and Commercial Law.

In Thailand, prenuptial agreements are totally in full compliance with Family Law. The prenuptial agreement should be made in writing and must be registered with the competent official annexed to the marriage certificate.

The most relevant legal effect is that the spouses will protect their own assets that were acquired before the registration of the marriage.

The prenuptial agreements are totally enforceable at the Court of Justice in case of divorce or termination of the marriage.
