Schengen Visa allows to travel to 27 European countries including Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Netherlands, France, Austria, Belgium, Finland, Portugal or Greece.
The ground of the Schengen Visa is to allow freedom of movement under Directive 2004/38/EC on the right to move and reside freely.
Thai citizens need to apply for a Schengen Visa in Thailand before travelling to the final destination in Europe.
Based on H&P Bangkok Immigration Lawyers experience, we can prepare the application 3 weeks before travelling but we recommend, if possible, that the application should be submitted at least 6 months in advance before the trip due to certain European embassies in Bangkok have long queue of applications.
As a rule, even if there is freedom of movement under the Schengen Visa, we should submit the application to the embassy of the country where the applicant will spend most of the stay or the one you plan to enter first.
The physical presence of the applicant is compulsory due to biometric data collection as well as the insurance and a range of supporting documents that we will help to prepare for the success of the Schengen Visa application in Thailand.
Although nobody can guarantee the success of the application, we are glad to highlight that in 2022 our ratio of success was 100% in all the applications for Schengen Visa.
