Last Monday 11th of September 2023, H&P had the honor to receive the visit of H.E. Itzel Karina Chen Chan, Ambassador of Panama in Thailand and Mr. Hernando Abraham Carrasquilla, Panamanian lawyer of Ordoñez Chea & Asociados. Behalf H&P, Mr. Jose Herrera and Mr. Apiwat Numbanteng attended the meeting.
The meeting was a continuation of several meetings we had with the Ambassador of Panama in Thailand and a friendship we built since her early appointment in Thailand in 2020.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics of discussion as Panama and Thailand diplomatic relationships, Panama merchant navy, immigration and visas for Thais and Panamanians, regulatory framework for foreign investment into Thailand and the surge of business and trade between South East Asia and Latin America.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Hernando Abraham Carrasquilla delivered a gift from Panama to Mr. Jose Herrera who announced that our law firm in Thailand will pay a visit of courtesy to Panama in 2024.
